Burning Kingdoms by Lauren DeStefano
4.0
I liked this book far more than her first - though she continues to be extremely long-winded (though beautifully)and sometimes I found myself begging her just to get to the point already.
In this continuation we see further character development out from the Internment folks - all put the Dr. really. Characters that were not so likeable the first time around I found myself developing a soft spot for and those that I liked heavily in the first volume I found myself flinching when they were mentioned.
I was introduced to characters from the ground, all of which had interesting personalities. I look forward to seeing them develop further and the role in which they will play in the next book.
