Welcome to Night Vale reads very, very similarly to the podcast. If you don’t like the weird, convoluted story telling of the podcast, I’d be shocked if you enjoy the book. However, if you love the podcast, you’ll probably have a great time, learning more about characters you don’t see much of otherwise.
The story is a little more focused than some parts of the podcast, but it is still told in a way that leaves you confused in the moment and yet eager to continue. As per normal, you’re left with more questions than answers about Night Vale as a whole, but I don’t think anyone really expects answers at this point.
