Story was pretty alright. I loved the back and forth of the podcast episode vs. the main narrative. I read the first half as an audiobook that made that detail much more engaging as well and would recommend this for sure as an audiobook.
I think there was a lot of fluff in the middle that wasn’t necessary and made me want to skim the second half while I read it on my Kindle. There’s several tense moments that don’t ever actually add to the plot at all, they’re just kinda there to make you FEEL like something horrifying is going to happen.
But overall it’s still a fast and interesting read that made me want to go make sure my doors were locked.
And for all my friends who need it - the dog does not die 👍
