Welcome to one of the best books I've read in a hot minute. Erin Russell knocks it out of the park with their debut novel STUPID DIRTY, and it blew me away.

On page two, I knew I'd love it. At 10%, I bought it instead of continuing to borrow it from KU. This story was absolutely amazing.

Silas, a pro motocross rider, returns to his hometown of Possum Hollow with secrets and his really shitty father.

Cade is an EMT and rides motocross on the weekends to earn a little extra money to help support his mom and two sisters.

They meet again at a meet, and what they thought they knew about each other is proven false, and Cade's compassion switch gets flipped along with his hero complex the more he gets to know Silas.

This book tackles growing up in poverty, abuse, mental health issues, drug addiction, and SO much more. As the characters tackle more and more obstacles, you find yourself falling more and more in love with them. Silas and Cade are both precious and deserve every speck of happiness.

This was a PAGE TURNER. So much happens in this story, but watching these dummies realize their feelings for each other was amazing. Their spicy times were *PERFECTION*, and their chemistry was immaculate.

This was pitched as an enemies to lovers story, but it totally isn't. It's a story about life and circumstances, finding your people and fighting to survive and making the choice to show up for your person (and people) again and again.

I loved this book.
 I loved it.
 L O V E D  I T.

I can't wait to read Erin's next book. Cade and Silas will be officially living in my head rent-free for the foreseeable future.

Perfect for fans of angsty romance. Or if you liked Nordika Night's From Nothing series. Or if you just love LOVE and amazing mcs and good storytelling.
