I love the fake relationship trope and Laura Pavlov nailed it with this one! Coco and Roman are fire! Then to throw in little Tino and oh my heart!!!! Perfection! This book is just 100% perfection!
Throughout the Willow Springs Series, Coco has been the more outspoken and bold friend. She has never been in love and thinks that her heart maybe doesn't work quite right. Her family makes her feel like an outsider because she's so much different than them. When her sister gets married, Coco needs a plus one stat. While at a bar, she meets the new owner and he's perfect.
Roman is a single dad to an adorable little boy named Valentino. When Coco tells him about her plan of him pretending to be her boyfriend, he refuses. Of course he eventually agrees if she'll return the favor at his son's birthday party. Roman is all about his son and doesn't want a relationship, which is just fine with Coco.
The contracts these two would come up with were great! Watching Roman help Coco realize how special she is, was truly touching. Then seeing Coco fall so hard for little Tino as well as Roman? I'll say it again, oh my heart! I absolutely loved this book!
