The riva family was so well written and I really cared about all of them, that’s the biggest plus of this book, which is why I got so annoyed when the perspective would switch to someone else at the party!! A few times it was necessary but other times it was distracting and I just wanted to get back to the people I cared about. I actually think this might work even better in the upcoming mini series format because in the later chapters things just started to feel crammed in. But I still mostly enjoyed it
