All The Bad Apples by Moïra Fowley-Doyle

I wanna thank Penguin UK for sending me a copy of this book for a review, however this doesn't affect my opinion.

This is a story of a family curse which amazed me with it's creepy details and beautiful writing. At the beggining, this book, at least to me, seems like a not so interesting, basic coming out story. But it is so much more than that. As it progresses, it reveals that it is not only a coming out story, but also a very refreshing, original book about a family curse. I really liked the retrospective elements, how almost every chapter switches between the past and the present, but it didn't confuse me at all, which happens a lot to me with books written in that way. I loved the writing, it is very beautiful but also easy to read. The characters were very diverse, which I think is great. Overall, I would give this book 4/5 stars. It definitely wasn't perfect, some parts I didn't find so interesting to read, and also the beggining of the story didn't really "pull me in" that much, but I'm glad I continued on with the book, because it really has a lot of important messages.
