The Murder on the Links by Agatha Christie

4.0

Oh my god, the twists don't stop! By the way, if you didn't know there is a show called "Poirot", of course based on the Hercule Poirot from very very early times of TV. It has 13 seasons and I thought that every episode was based on one of the books making it an interesting idea for a routine where I read one book then watched its episode. But it wasn't so and I am kind of bummed about it.
Now, I was really carefully looking for patterns in this book and the first one, maybe the writer used the same methods or something but I have learned my lesson. Agatha Christie writes awesome mystery novels and she is more than capable of writing them without repetition. For a moment in the book I was like, "The twist was great but this ending I already sensed." No, I did not! The end twist was so complex for me that I had to go back a few pages and re-read what happened. But maybe that was because I was severely confused about the different ways they addressed the mother and the daughter. I have also had a problem with those in a few Jane Austen novels.
In conclusion, this was an amazing and it probably gave me mind-worms, I am going to be thinking about it a lot, at least till I read the next book. I hope I didn't spoil anything. Definitely going to re-read at some point. :)
