What an absolutely bonkers book, I truly don't think any straight person should ever read this book, you wouldn't be able to handle it.
I was really curious going into this because the average rating is SO low, and like I understand why, every single character is insufferable and incredibly self centered and those last like 100 pages are batshit crazy. But I think something I'm fond of is the refusal to lean into the puritanical sanitized depiction of queerness that so many authors are inclined to do in order to appease its small straight audience. This isn't the first book I've read that does that but it is one of the most interesting ones that I've read because this one isn't even trying to cater to its queer audience in a lot of ways.
If you are a straight person absolutely do not read this book, and if you are a queer person who constantly engages in identity politics and discourse surrounding labels and pronouns, steer clear of this book. It is not for you. I fear your brain is too sensitive for this one
