A Book of Five Rings: The Classic Guide to Strategy
by Miyamoto Musashi
I read this on a whim after hearing about it on a podcast. It's an incredibly short book (it's actually a collection of five books written by Musashi - hence the name "a book of five rings"). Like "The Art of War" by Sun Tzu, it's viewed today as a guide to combat and warfare that can be applied to the business world and life in general.
So on the surface, it's a lot of "hold your sword strong and cut your opponent with the intent of cutting him", but beneath this there's philosophy, ethics, and a lot of Zen Buddhism teachings.
