Tales of the Peculiar by Ransom Riggs

4.0

Beautifully crafted book. I love the aesthetic of the green and gold of the cover and the pictures throughout.

The tales are also quite good. They have a perfect feel of fairy tales both modern and older. The dangers of the tales and world are not ignored and yet the endings are not as gruesome as older actual fairy tales. The world in which these tales happen would make more sense if you have also read Miss Peregrine's Home for Peculiar Children but it is not necessary to enjoy the tales.
