Ghosted
by Rosie Talbot
The main character whose name appears later has kissed his best friend Charlie and it appears that the friendship also parted. We go backwards and forwards in time as to why this might be.
⚠️TW: self harm, strong language, physical abuse, blood, domestic abuse, bullying, homophobia
What you can't deny is the teenage troubles Talbot brings to her dialogue as well as the importance of being surrounded by good friendships, discovering your sexual identity and being quintessentially yourself.
A great short story to set the scene for 16 Souls and some of it's characters. I'm excited to read it and see what comes next.
