The God of Small Things
by Arundhati Roy
"Without admitting it to each other or themselves, they linked their fates, their futures (their Love, their Madness, their Hope, their Infinite Joy)."
Gut wrenchingly tragic in it's narration. Immensely beautiful in it's prose. Slow at first but the final hundred pages are riveting. Arguably the best book I've read this year.
