"The closet isn't why we fell in love. We made this room special, not the other way around."
If you liked 'A Thousand Boy Kisses' and 'People We Meet on Vacation' this is the perfect book for you!
I don't even know where to begin. This book is definitely my favorite CLo read.
I never thought I was a fan of childhood friends to lovers because not everyone can make such a beautiful friendship turn into something so special as love, but Christina and Lauren proved me wrong.
Macy's and Elliot friendship was so well written and well explored, that I literally felt that I was part of it. I felt the glances, the smiles and most importantly, I felt the love they both had for each other since the moment they met.
The characters are  my favorite and I got to love them since they were 13 up to now that they're 29. I related to both Macy and Elliot so much, that sometimes it hurts to realize I never met anyone with whom I connected so deeply to have a friendship last more than a year.
I want what they have. I want their friendship, their love, everything.
There was a point in the story where I grew frustrated that Macy was so insecure by Emma, but I get her. If I were her I'd be too. Other than that, these characters were for me flawless.

SPOILERS AHEAD! Don't read what's between brackets if you haven't read this book or are currently reading it.
(Let's just not talk about what Elliot did, because as much as I hated him when the truth came out, I realized he never intended to and Emma was kind of suspicious. Plus, he regretted his mistake for eleven years and tried to change. And after analyzing it, he actually got sexual assaulted by Emma that night.)

I don't know what else to say other than, I'm forwarding my therapy bills to CLo because I never, not in a million years, expected those two plot twist to blow on my face, one after the other.
I started this book not knowing what I was getting into, and I really loved it. From the first chapter I knew it was a 5 stars read.
Go read this book, you won't regret it.
Now, let me alone and cry for a whole week because I grew attached to Macy' and Elliot's friendship and I miss them already.
