I’ll be honest, I overreacted a little in my last update of Fall. Saying I hated every character and wanted a meteor shower to take them all out might have been a bit dramatic… but I low key don’t take it back.
There is not a single reason this book needed to be 510 pages long. I went in with such high expectations after loving the first three books, and at first, I was all in. Jaxon and Lennon had great chemistry, and I was excited to see their story unfold. But somewhere along the way, the charm wore off. Their relationship started to feel repetitive, and by the last stretch of the book, I was dreading picking it up. But I had already bought it, and I just couldn’t bring myself to DNF it, so I suffered on.
And seriously, if I had to read the word coochie one more time, I was going to gouge my eyes out.
That being said, I can admit I got a little dramatic in my frustration. I didn’t fully hate the book, it had moments I enjoyed, and I don’t regret sticking it out. But it was definitely a letdown after how much I had hyped it up.
