Stolen Focus: Why You Can't Pay Attention
by Johann Hari
informative
inspiring
reflective
medium-paced
While I do think the main ideas of this book are extremely important. I felt like some of the evidence Hari didn’t properly analyse and I was on quite a few occasions left with questions. In this regard I think the book should have been longer. I think the book does struggle with its pacing because some parts are quick and interesting, delivering solid evidence. Whereas others such as chapter 13 and 14 felt slow, repetitive and certain paragraphs didn’t bring new information but simply restated what he had previously said. That being said the first half of the book was extremely interesting, it is just the last few chapters making it a little sloppy.
