This surprised me so much! I love love loved this little manga. (And I’m looking for the second one as I type this!)

I played soccer for 17 years, and a lot of the time I miss it more than anything. This book brought me back to playing and I loved that nostalgic feeling. I didn’t have high hopes for this going in, but I loved the journey our middle school protagonist went on trying to play in an official match on her schools’ boy team to challenge a rival from her youth.

It was funny and endearing to the very end. It was also equal parts frustrating see the misogyny play out. Overall I enjoyed this so much, and I’m happy to continue on with the series.
