Look, some would say is a toxic relationship. But I sincerely believe that it's simply misunderstood. It's okay to do shitty stuff to your partner if it is under the pretense of "good intentions". I stand by that.
Please don't take that seriously. That was a joke. Party humor as the kids say. There was a lot of talking though. I get that they needed to further establish this world; with how nuanced the conflict is, it makes sense. But it was a lot. But it definitely picks up in the second half. Armentrout depicts action really well. And her characters are compelling and intricate.
The book was fun though.
