Delirium
by Lauren Oliver
Despite not being as strong as other YA dystopia novels, this one is still a good read. Yes, some pages seem to just ramble on and on, going into detail about things that are not entirely relevant to the story, but strangely I didn't mind. There is no real plot until around the half way mark, at which point things start to progress and get a bit more intriguing.
Worth a read, although a couple of times throughout I did find myself wanting to punch Lena right in the face, for her sheer stupidity! Take for instance when Alex is coming to her rescue at the end, she knows full well that she needs to stay silent as her uncle is asleep outside the door and what does she do? Oh that's right, she squeals in excitement and then calls his name! I mean, come on!
