This book wrecked me in a good way. Laniah and Isaac are lifelong best friends that have been through horrible experiences together but their friendship never faltered. They have been there for each other even though now they are opposite ends of the country. When Laniah needs Isaac to show up, he doesn't hesitate to come home from California to Rhode Island like it is an hour drive. It seems they are doing a slow dance of figuring out adulting and if their feelings are worth the risk it could cause to their friendship because they are all they know. But what is a reward if you don't take a risk? This book made me cry happy and sad tears because it shows that soulmates will find each other regardless of the distance, time, and place. "Maybe a soulmate connection isn’t something you just feel, maybe it’s something you have to be committed to building.”
