I was expecting this book to be about *the silk road* and not the whole history of major trading routes up until modern times. So, it was interesting for what it was I guess, but I was bored because I really don't like reading about the exploitation of the Americas, and I wanted to hear more about *the* silk road. I had grabbed this while searching for ages through the library's audiobooks (via libby) so I guess I just didn't read the description!
