Emotional, Entertaining and so Enjoyable

This book was so emotionally rich. Xavier slowly and grudgingly begins to open up to his new dock neighbor, Vivienne. When he sees a bunch of people approaching her boat he’s shocked when he recognizes them as who’s who in hockey.

I loved how Vivienne ended up being the one person in her family reserved and respectful of other people’s business. She doesn’t pry and ask questions and Xavier responds to her accepting him for what he says.

These two characters are great together and I loved how accepting her father, Matthew, is of Xavier’s past and steps up to have his back during a meeting with Nico. I think this was the calmest and non-over the top he’s ever been.

Can’t wait for more books from Natasha!
