The 5 Love Languages: The Secret to Love That Lasts
by Gary Chapman
Well this was surprising! I really thought the Kentucky Fried Chicken voice and cheesy piano interludes would put me off of this book.
But no, I surprisingly enjoyed myself.
I liked the practicality of the book. Chapman not only talked about the concepts, but offered examples of how to implement his concepts. I actually really appreciated that, even if a lot of the practical examples made me cringe a little bit.
Yeah, the book came off as cringey sometimes. Really, really cringey. And I don't know that I'll ever apply any of the suggestions in my personal life. But it was still pretty informative, and pretty helpful.
