Had some good points but was written as if everyone’s brain works exactly the same way. Definitely going to use some of the principals but it made my eyes roll too many times to rate it any higher. It’s also very work/career oriented and as I am currently not employed it was occasionally hard for me to relate this to being more productive personally rather than professionally. It also seems to be written from the perspective of someone who puts work and professional productivity above all else in life, like a happy and productive home life is an after thought. Like he says that time spent at home with loved ones is one of the most important things you could do for your happiness and then in the same chapter tells you to wake up and start working earlier and stay later in the day. It is also most definitely a male perspective and doesn’t take into account that women operate on a 28 day cycle rather than a 24 hour one and our productivity levels will NOT look the same every day but will follow a roughly month long cycle.
