I am genuinely curious to see what happens next. I had a hard time keeping the characters straight but I think they were well built, the right amount of backstory. I definitely had a few moments where I gasped. But I will admit I had quite a few moments where I was confused by the technical/scientific aspects of the book. Not that I think it took away from the story but was harder to get through. I want to see how this is developed into a movie or show.
