TW: Themes of recovery from sexual assault and mental health.
This was a alright read. Was recommended to me by the man at the till in the bookshop as part of my 3 for 2 deal, when I had no idea what to get for my third. I typically enjoy fantasy with a focus on friendship and adventure - lighter reading. This was not lighter, but still a decent book, and one you can really think about the symbolism. The author leaves much for interpretation while still presenting her views strongly. The pacing for the subject matter was certainly just right, but it was slow to kick off, understandably.
