emotional hopeful informative inspiring reflective medium-paced

I really enjoyed this book and learning about the special bond between the 2 authors and their families. Walker Hayes is one of my favorite country singers, so to learn how he struggled and nearly gave up on his dream was really interesting. His story is filled with emotional and physical challenges including alcoholism and the death of their baby.

While there was a lot of sadness, there was also a lot of hope and joy intertwined. The strong friendships forged between the authors, their wives, and their children is inspiring. Craig was influential in Walker leaving his atheistic beliefs and accepting Jesus. To hear how Walker's heart changed over the course of a few years and how his career took off was uplifting.

This book has all the emotions - despair, joy, hope, love, sadness, etc. I highly recommend for anyone who is a fan of Walker or who enjoys hearing others' testimonies. And I definitely recommend listening to the audiobook, which was narrated by both authors.
