This turned out to be one of the best books I've read in a while. The book started out a little slow and I was having trouble getting into another historical fiction about women and the lack of women's rights so close to listening to another book that also covered that topic; however, The story picked up pretty quickly and the detail and the message and just the strong characters were so amazing. The last chapter was a little weird and I felt like it was out of place. Hearing the author's note, I understand why it was included but I still don't think it fit. Listening to the author's note really drove home, the impact and how amazing this book really is.
