Ender's Game by Orson Scott Card

3.0

FINALLY finished. It felt like it too me FOREVER to read the first 2/3 but then it finally picked up and that last 1/3 is the only reason this book received 3 instead of 2 stars. I just couldn't get behind the whole six-year-old or just children in general behaving like adults with 30+ years life experience. In many dystopian-type books I can see a little bit of a "this could actually happen" type deal, but I never felt that in Ender's Game. It felt completely unbelievable to me and therefore it made it incredibly hard for me to connect with and enjoy the majority of the book. I also had a really hard time visualizing the story, which gave me some problems and made it harder to hold my interest. I definitely want to see the movie, if only to visualize what I just read.
