More a 3.5 than a full 4, but the beautifully tender romance and the strong writing made me err on the side of generosity. Not much of a plot here, and the emotional reasons keeping the h & h apart don't seem in character, at least for the heroine. But the warm family feeling between the three brothers, and the comforting as well as passionate love story make the book compelling, despite its often leisurely pace. Looking forward to reading this author's second book...

Did anyone else wonder if this was a second book in a series (with the first book about Amery & his wife), but that that first book had not been published? The whole discussion of the grandfather and the niece and all those other men out in Surrey felt as if the author was writing about them as if we had already read about them in an earlier book...
