The Only Plane in the Sky: An Oral History of 9/11
by Garrett M. Graff
Wow! What an amazing oral history of first hand accounts of what happened on September 11th. I didn't know half of what happened, and I lived through the event!
I will say the switching back and forth between who was saying what to illustrate the scene was a little hard to follow at times, but that could have just been me forgetting names of people and who they were by the time they were being quoted again.
The physical book had pictures, so bonus for that. The audio book had recordings of the flight attendants and the hijackers *shudder* and the presidents' announcements (Bush and Obama). So those were the bonuses of the audio book. I flipped back and forth between audio and the physical for this one. I needed the physical to keep all the names and people straight.
