Very solid military science fiction – some Battlestar Galactica vibe, and lots of space combat. The combat is well done, I enjoyed how the information delay plays out. The distances are light minutes and the speeds slower than light, so it takes minutes before information comes in. That's an interesting challenge for a fleet commander.

The rest of it wasn't all that hot, and I'm pretty sure I'm not going to continue reading the series.
