Let's Roll!: Ordinary People, Extraordinary Courage by Lisa Beamer

4.0

I read this book on the recommendation of my 15-year-old son. He is becoming quite a fan of non-fiction and really liked this book. I liked it too. It brought back a lot of memories of me of that September day that almost all Americans remember. The details of what happened aboard United Airlines Flight 93 that day, and the heroic actions of the passengers and crew were incredible to read about. The impact of that day on the lives of the family members gave me a lot of pause for thought and reflection about my own family members, who I sometimes take for granted far too much. This was an emotionally charged book that brought my own emotions to the surface and I cried in several places while I read. Ultimately, however, this is a book about faith and hope and courage. That's why my son Josh liked it and that's why I liked it too. Highly recommended!
