If it were not for the fact that I just really like Ali Hazelwood's prose style, this book would be far lower rated for me.
First off - this book is just flipside TLH. Having another grumpy/sunshine book to follow is not bad but the dynamic and pining aspect feel too similar. I liked Levi better than Adam (don't @ me) BUT I do think he was a bit obsessive and that's not my fav.
I also think Bee is absolutely obnoxious. She was a manic pixie dream girl and I just couldn't. I appreciate the women in STEM aspects of these books quite a bit. But Bee was just too "look at me I'm smart and quirky" while also being dumb af. She really didn't know he liked her? Really?
The third act of this book is bonkers and not in a good way. Why was it so dramatic. It was bizarre.
While I'm not a huge fan of this book, I will still continue to read her books UNLESS she really doesn't deviate from this path of characters. I know she can, too, at least even marginally based an the novellas.
