I never read didactic novels, or novels about <abuse> but this book was handed to me by a close friend who said "just read it, you'll love it".
My friend was right. I stuck with it and it was amazing to me that I was able to fully sympathize with the <abused> and even the <abuser> and reflect on the sum of people embodying both good and evil. Flaws of character in human behavior are explored and sketched by the author so artfully and in ways that only someone with a personal connection to the story could ever explore.
