A critical review of TV shows is difficult; the show may be inconsistent, or have a weak season, or have great acting but poor storytelling, or....the authors here do a nice job assessing multiple criteria. I especially appreciated how they talked about shows that are groundbreaking but uncomfortable to rewatch (casual domestic violence, sexual harassment). They also did a nice job including details about airing and production and history that you might not pick up watching an old classic on Netflix. If you'll pardon me, I have some TV watching to do.
