kahima 's review for:
The Memory Police
by Yōko Ogawa
This book does not try to even remotely explain any world mechanisms, which may make some people (ME) uncomfortable. The lack of resolution, the blurred lines between story and story-within-a-story, and the nameless characters give it a cool trippy vibe, but it also kept me disconnected.
If you’re not the type to get stuck on trying to understand a mechanism that will not be clarified, you’ll have an easier time with it.
