This novel had a strong start—the first few chapters explore big questions about fairness, criticism, and the subjectivity of reviews. But after that, it started feeling repetitive.
The story is told from the POV of a colleague of the main male character, which creates emotional distance. We never really get to know the main players, and the narrator herself didn’t feel particularly compelling to me.
A thoughtful concept that raises important questions, but ultimately dragged a bit.
