Holy shit.
I pushed off reading a CH book for so long because I heard about the emotional turmoil the author put the reader through.
The book was a little slow, might have been because I was listening to it audibly.
But, I’m shocked how much I was able to connect with the main character and how I actually grew to root for her after such tragedy. I realized 90% of the way through of the  parallels I was able to draw with the daughter and my own life, my dad passing away at a young age. The perspective switch that happened for Scotty’s parents was something I found myself thinking back to as an awe inspiring movement. Forge I was is hard, but it’s necessary for us to move on.
