There is so much misogyny in this volume that I didn’t pick up on in my first read through. “Orihime shouldn’t see fighting” “oh she’s so innocent she shouldn’t be fighting” like fuck right off with that nonsense tbh. There are a few strong female characters in bleach and they consistently fumble the ball with her arc.

And I forgot how awful Kurotsutchi is. I know the

captains and vice captains are villains right now

but it’s exceptionally cruel how he treats Nemu. Like if this was a horror manga, maybe I could see that happening. But this is a shonen action manga, not horror at all.

I still stand by if bleach was a horror manga it would be so much better.
