Sticks and Stones by S. Massery, S.J. Sylvis
5.0

4.5/5

This was my first S. Massery book and second by SJ Sylvis. I absolutely loved it!

I've found that I truly enjoy enemies to lovers and brother's best friends tropes the most in books! Which this book has both of!

Wren "Sticks" has been in and out of foster more times than anyone should be due to a drug dealing father. Thankfully, she is placed in a home that welcomes her with open arms and gains a protective brother, Evan, that she's able to rely on. During a lunch break, Wren, decides to take a nap in her brothers car, but when she sees the police and a K9 dog, she starts to panic, knowing their is a certain package in her bag that her father wanted her to deliver. In a panic, Wren hides the package under, Stone's truck as she knows his father (who is a defense lawyer) will be able to get him out of trouble. When Stone is found and arrested, he knows exactly who is at fault so when he sees Wren, he vows to never look or speak to her again. But when he moves to Shadow Valley, he comes face to face with Wren again, and can't seem to stay away from her.

Tropes:
enemies to lovers
hate to love
hockey
brother’s best friend
forced proximity
suspenseful romance

Highly recommend to all my followers who love hockey romance!
