The Dinner by Herman Koch
4.5
dark emotional mysterious reflective tense fast-paced
Plot or Character Driven: A mix
Strong character development: Complicated
Loveable characters: No
Diverse cast of characters: No
Flaws of characters a main focus: Yes

The definition of a nasty little book. Koch delivers a masterful analysis of the twisted nature of modern society through the lens of a character that is neither likeable nor reasonable and yet succeeds at getting the point across. Information is delivered when relevant and not a second before. A wonderful mind fuck.
