I don't know. This was kind of disappointing. After the amazing ride, it just seemed very strange. The whole Rufus arc was very weird, like an unexpected savior, it just didn't seemed to fit.
I guess this will stay on my mind, I'll eventually read through the single issues.
Also the fact that Bode gets out of it seems kinda "unfair". There were 40 kids who didn't make it, but Bode gets another chance. I don't know, it was not nice o have him die, but it seemed to fit the dark tone of the comic.
The big sacrifice that has to come at the end. I don't know, in the end it's nice to see at least one family happy, but it seems quite unfitting.
Also why didn't the whole family got to say goodbye to Rendell?
