This novel 100% lives up to the hype. The pacing is perfect, the prose is beautiful, and the characters are extremely compelling. Patroclus is an excellent narrator and the love story between him and Achilles is simply beautiful. Both characters are equally compelling. In fact, Miller is able to make all of the mythic figures featured in this novel not only accessible but feel so utterly human. The pacing is perfect and Miller's prose is utterly stunning and downright addictive. If you've been meaning to read this one and haven't yet, do yourself a favor and read it.
