This is my first novel by Sophie Jordan. I have a couple arcs of some of her other books, but unfortunately I have not read them yet. I was pretty intrigued by this cover, because it's beautiful! I started reading it on my e-reader, and while I am not a fan of e-books, I could not stop reading this! It captivated me from the first page. I thought many of the aspects of this felt original, but some stuff felt cliche. I'm not sure if it is or not, but It felt roughly based on Rapunzel to me as well. Roughly, though. Anyway, I loved the characters in this story. There was Fowler. Fowler, man, he is one sexy beast. I loved Luna (and loved that she had a distinct flaw which in YA we usually don't find much of.) I loved how brave she was, though at times she annoyed me. I loved Fowler, might have said that already. I loved everything about him. The plot was always fast paced. There were places where I felt like a scene could have been cut or maybe something could have been added. The action was great, though, and the romance was both spicy and sweet. I loooved it. My only thing here is, I feel like the world building could have been built on more. We know several things about this world, but not enough. I think that the creatures (dwellers, large bats, tree wolf, etc) were all described well but maybe some different ones added to it would have been nice. I feel like this book was missing a lot of good pieces that could have been added to it to make it more rich. It was really great, but just adding a few more aspects of uniqueness to me would have made it that much better. I really enjoyed this book, though, despite my few complaints. I will definitely buy this in the flesh lol and add it my collection.

I do plan on reading the sequel to this of course! I give this one 4.25 stars, overall! I recommend this book! It's a reaaaally great, quick, very fun and exciting read.
