This was my first Elizabeth O’Roark book, and I am obsessed. When I first started reading this book, I didn’t realize that it was technically the second book in The Devil series, so I am super excited to read the other two books as well.

I loved the banter found throughout the book, but I also loved the tenderness of the intimate moments between the characters as well. I appreciated the realness of the relationship dynamics between all the couples, and the character development that evolved on a couple and individual basis as a result. Additionally, the amount of detail placed into the setting, plot, and character backstories added so much depth to this book that made it hard to ever put the book down. Elizabeth O’Roark did an expert job writing this book.

I’m very stingy with giving out 5-star ratings, and the only reason this book is not getting a 5-star rating is because of the limited relatability
to a global pop star with a challenging backstory going on vacation with her ex and his family and falling for her ex’s older brother who is a doctor oversees in a dangerous country. </spolier> However, the lack of relatability does not take away from how well written the plot was written or from how fun this storyline was to read.

Overall, I loved Elizabeth O’Roark’s writing style, and I look forward to reading more of her books in the future, especially the remaining two books in this series. I’ve read The Devil and the Deep Blue Sea🌊 twice now, and I will definitely be reading this book again in the future. I very much so recommend this book to those that love a well-done enemies to lovers trope with a sweet, slow burn and a tasteful age gap.
