Half of a Yellow Sun by Chimamanda Ngozi Adichie
5.0

Oh wow, loved this book. Biafra was a vague memory in my mind and I'm so glad Half of a Yellow Sun was there to fill the holes. Such a brilliant, heart-wrenching, powerful rendition of what happened then. All the characters are well-written and complex and I loved their quirks, I loved that they were so different: the book felt so full.
