I really enjoyed this second book in the series!

I feel like these books are on the older side of middle grade with all of the world building and betrayal from the different characters that takes place in this book. We get to see the darker side of book wandering and there are a lot of politics from the underlibrary.

Tilly is also standing up to the adults in her life a lot more in this book and she also makes a couple questionable decisions.

The fairy Tale jumping reminded me of the show Once Upon a Time where everyday people traveled to fairy tales and had to save the real world multiple times. In this book Fairy Tales are very dangerous to bookwander too and Tilly and Osker are warned many times not to travel into them but of course they don't listen. There are a lot of crazy things happening when they visit these stories and there is a new villain who is working with Chalk. They are all responsible for what is happening to the Fairy Tales.

It is up to Tilly and her friends and family to figure out a way to stop what is happening but the new head Librarian is trying to put a stop to it and change book wandering as we know it!
