The Divided Earth by Faith Erin Hicks

3.0

Solid conclusion. It had been quite awhile since I read Book 2 and my memories of the details were a little fuzzy, but Hicks did a good job of catching the reader up on the most necessary parts without it feeling expository. Still, I'd kind of like to reread the series in succession.

You know the episode of Avatar where they go and invade the Fire Nation on the Day of Black Sun, and it's an awesome episode, but the action and the very clear goals associated with this action make the episode feel really different from the rest of the series? It's not necessarily bad either; just different. There's a very similar vibe going on in this book. Because of the action certain other parts had to be very quick.
