Beneath a Scarlet Sky
by Mark T. Sullivan
It's like they've already gone to evil, and going a little deeper won't matter- Pino Lella
WOW. This book took me for a wild ride! It's heartbreaking, full of tense moments, moments when Pino's faith is severely tested. But there's also heartwarming moments, moments that make you believe in the good of humanity, and the power of love that helps you get through the darkest moments in life. It's an amazing book and I loved it but I don't think I want to read another one like it. I can't believe someone as young as Pino experienced something like the WW II and lived to tell the tale. Lived a life that while it wasn't absolutely perfect, he still found the strength to do it with a smile on his face. He's an inspiration and I believe that General Leyers learned a lot from Pino just as Pino learned a lot about life and the curve balls it throws at us.
Good. Evil. It's all a question of perspective, is it not? - General Leyers
